The panel will highlight the necessary tools needed to protect and mobilize whistle-blowers, and how to use transnational anti-corruption laws to prosecute crimes. Additionally, the panel will discuss how to evaluate damages caused by traumatic stressors associated with whistle-blowing.

    Jeana Lee

    Jeana Lee

    Program Manager, National Whistleblower Center

    Jeana Lee is the Program Manager at the National Whistleblower Center and is in charge of the training and educational programing for International Whistleblower Advocates. Prior to her role as Program Manager, Jeana was a Communications Intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), where she helped communicate the Administration’s climate change agenda to the public. She has also interned at Congress and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Jeana graduated with the Highest Distinction in General Scholarship at UC Berkeley, earning a degree in Political Science and a minor in Journalism.

    Dr. Jacqueline Garrick

    Dr. Jackie Garrick

    Founder, Whistleblowers of America 

    Dr. Garrick is the Founder and President of Whistleblowers of America (WoA). She developed the Whistleblower Retaliation Checklist© (WRC) to identify negative psychosocial impacts on victimized employees and provides forensic testimony. She is also founder of the Workplace Promise Institute in Pensacola, FL, which is an annual conference hosted by WoA. Her areas of expertise include policy and program development for disabled veterans/wounded warriors, whistleblower mental health, suicide prevention, and organizational leadership development. Ms. Garrick is a published authored, media source, and an international public speaker. 

    Kate Reeves

    Kate Reeves

    International Liaison, National Whistleblower Center

    Reeves serves as the International Liaison for the National Whistleblower Center, where she forges relationships with anti-corruption civil society groups and human rights defenders worldwide and works with NWC to advance best-practice whistleblower policies abroad. At Kohn, Kohn and Colapinto she provides legal assistance on cutting-edge transnational anti-corruption cases. Reeves has also conducted extensive research on the efficacy of human rights laws in protecting against environmental injustices associated with green development. She is currently pursuing a joint JD/PhD at the University of California, Berkeley.

    Stephen M Kohn - International Whistleblower Attorney

    Stephen Kohn

    Founder and Chairman, National Whistleblower Center

    Kohn is a founding partner of the law firm Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, LLP, where he specializes in whistleblower advocacy. He won the first $100 million whistleblower award for a UBS Swiss Banker and set numerous precedents expanding the scope of whistleblower protections. Kohn founded the National Whistleblower Center, where he currently serves, pro bono, as Chairman of the Board. He helped draft key transnational whistleblower laws, including Dodd-Frank, Sarbanes-Oxley, and the AML law. He is the author of the first legal treatise on whistleblowing and is the world’s most published author on whistleblower protection. In 2025Forbes named Kohn as one of America’s Top Lawyers, and in 2024, Forbes named Kohn as one of America’s Top 200 Lawyers.

    Khadija Sharife

    Investigative Journalist, Writer, ACE Awards Winner

    Sharife (LL.M.) is an investigative journalist and writer focused on behavioural finance, natural resources, and political economy. She helped create and lead The Platform to Protect Whistleblowers in Africa, a legal NGO that supports African whistleblowers. Sharife previously served as a global journalist with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and is currently a board member of the Global Investigative Journalism Network and the Data and Research Center (DARC). A Global Justice Fellow at Yale University, her reporting has exposed complex financial networks and abuses of power. She has helped to build and sustain a number of legal and journalistic initiatives providing investigative support to journalists. Most recently, she led an OCCRP investigation into a US-based medical company. Produced in collaboration with The Boston Globe, the project was a 2025 Pulitzer Prize finalist and received multiple awards.
